Sanic: How are you, Balaam?

Balaam: Good, how are you, sanic?

Sanic: I'm good. I have seen you many many years ago. When did you join Worlds?

Balaam: back in 2012.

Sanic: Interesting. How do you find Worlds now compared to 2012?

Balaam: A bit busier now. The community has changed quite a bit over the years. Events weren't as popular. Thankful to see it thriving thanks to people like CandyAngel and DrFrasierCrane.

Sanic: What was your favorite event back then?

Balaam: I'd have to say poetry, although that was brought back after some time. It was especially popular around 2020 when Host-Knacken was around.

Sanic: Oh same as mine! I should ask, do you have a favorite poet? or a favorite poem?

Balaam: Good question. Honestly, I do not. I'd recite Smoke by Henry David Thoreau.

Sanic: Balaam, what makes Smoke by Henry David Thoreau special to you?

Balaam: That's a good question. I think it's because it's the first poem I picked for poetry night for its revival when Worlds was blowing up again around pandemic time.

Sanic: Well, Nothing is as special as worlds memories.

Sanic: Balaam I saw your photo in the mugshots and you're playing drums in it. Tell us about that

Balaam: Yep, that was me in my old band from 2013. Being a musician is one of my few occupations

Sanic: Wow that is so cool!

Sanic: What is your current occupation?

Balaam: Currently working as an equipment installation technician and parts delivery driver, IT assistant, and musician for a few bands at the moment.

Sanic: That sounds fun, and tiring. It explains why we don't always see you at GZ.

Balaam: I can be very busy, but still like to check from time to time.

Sanic: Why did you pick your username, Balaam. Are you a demonolater?

Balaam: I'd have to ask my 20-year-old self that question. I remember wanting to go with something kinda biblical but maybe something metal. Personally, I am a spiritual person and a deist.

Sanic: I'm sure some newcomers will think you're a cult member when they see you haha, this is what I thought myself back when I first joined.

Balaam: The cult thing is really funny. Some people who are actually part of sects or "cults" have come here looking for community and becoming disappointed.

Sanic: How do you think we can improve LibreWorlds?

Balaam: I love where things are right now. It seems to be thriving. I'd say, let's keep up the good work everyone has done here. We need as many people as we can making new worlds, doing events, bringing in good people, and just keeping the vibe this place has had for so long

Sanic: What is your favorite world?

Balaam: Expired World, or as many would call it "Heaven" by Softie.

Sanic: It was great interviewing you Balaam! Would you like to say anything for the readers?

Balaam: Thanks, sanic. Thanks for taking the time to read, and see you online!
